Le laboratoire IMP (Ingénierie des Matériaux Polymères), UMR CNRS 5223, est localisé sur trois sites :
- l'INSA de Lyon,
- l'Université Lyon 1,
- l'Université Jean Monnet de St Etienne.
L'IMP développe des axes de recherche fondamentale à vocations applicatives allant de la synthèse de nouvelles architectures macromoléculaires et de la formulation des polymères à l'établissement des relations structure-propriétés.

Frontiers in Polymer Sciences 2013
The First International Symposium Frontiers in Polymer Science took place in Mainz, Germany from 7-9 June 2009 and celebrated the 50th anniversary of the journal polymer. The Second Symposium took place in Lyon, France from 29-31 May 2011.
